The Goodrich Manufacturing Leadership Program is a two-year, rotational program. Participants in the Manufacturing Leadership Program typically have a degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.

Participants will have three, eight-month assignments at three different operating divisions. The three assignments will be in manufacturing engineering, quality assurance and shop floor operations. Ideally the shop floor operation assignment will be the third rotation. The following is a listing of potential assignments.

Manufacturing Engineering

Participants are typically exposed and responsible for product transition from the initial design through the manufacturing process. Typical assignments may include:

• Develop production plans
• Design and obtain equipment and tooling
• Improve manufacturing processes
• Develop new processes and procedures
• Develop automation processes
• Resolve capacity and productivity issues

Quality Assurance

Participants may have the opportunity to develop and implement systems that assure product quality. Typical assignments may include:

• Review product design
• Design testing and inspection of equipment
• Perform process capability studies
• Automate testing and inspection procedures
• Develop product quality plans
• Analyze customers' needs and perception
• Work on ISO 9000 teams
• Resolve causes of customers' complaints

Shop Floor Operations

Participants will be responsible for the supervising a manufacturing process. Typical assignments may include:

• Supervise the workforce
• Implement a production plan
• Employee performance appraisals
• Adhere to production schedules
• Implement a quality plan
