The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has recognized Goodrich Corporation (NYSE: GR) for excellence in Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) training by honoring several of the company's sites.  Goodrich MRO facilities located in: Dallas, Texas; Louisville, Kentucky; Los Angeles, California; Wichita, Kansas; Monroe, North Carolina; Foley, Alabama; and Everett, Washington each employ a number of individuals who received Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) awards.

Goodrich’s Aircraft Wheels and Brakes service centers in Texas, Kentucky, California, and Kansas were recognized.  An essential part of Goodrich’s training program focuses on aviation maintenance, quality management and safety awareness.  The four recognized facilities exceeded the FAA’s program goal with a combined 80% participation rate all while maintaining an average 97.3% on time delivery.  Goodrich’s Aircraft Wheels and Brakes service centers specialize in maintenance, repair and overhaul services for wheel and brake assemblies.

During its second year of eligibility, 52 of Goodrich's Customer Services employees at its North Carolina site received individual AMT awards ranging from "Bronze" to "Diamond.”  One individual received a special recognition award for outstanding support and participation on behalf of the FAA Aviation Safety Program.  The Monroe site specializes in component repair and overhaul services.

For the seventh consecutive year, Goodrich's Alabama Service Center has been recognized with 48% of eligible Goodrich employees receiving individual AMT awards. The facility provides Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services for aircraft components such as nacelles, thrust reversers and flight controls.

For the eighth consecutive year, employees of Goodrich's Aviation Technical Services' facility in Washington received individual AMT awards – 169 technicians were recognized. The site specializes in airframe heavy maintenance, airframe modifications and component repair and overhaul services.

The AMT award program is designed to encourage aviation maintenance technicians and their employers to take full advantage of available training opportunities that will help to improve knowledge, professionalism and safety. Technicians receive awards based on the individual hours of annual training. The Aviation Maintenance Technician Awards are divided in to five levels from “Bronze” to “Diamond.”
