Each Goodrich wheel assembly is custom designed to meet and/or exceed operational and safety based specifications set by the aircraft manufacturer. Goodrich wheel engineers design main and nose wheels for aircraft using the latest computer-based modeling technology. This allows each wheel to be designed in conjunction with the brake to achieve maximum performance. Many of our wheel designs have incorporated a patented lock ring configuration to provide airline operators with lower cost, reduced part count, and ease of maintenance. The maintenance friendly lock ring wheel design provides a 80% tire change time savings and a 25% time savings at overhauls over current system.
