Goodrich works closely with its world-wide supply base to deliver best value products and services. We use highly developed commodity procurements strategies and rigorous supplier accreditation and development processes including AS9100 as standard.
Goodrich procures a wide range of commodities including machining of various metals (aluminium, inconel, titanium and magnesium), circuit card assemblies, connectors, wiring and chassis assemblies. Electrical systems also require bought out items such as batteries, permanent magnet alternators, switches and electrical controls.
Our expectation is that our suppliers will adopt AS9100 as a baseline and also have visible programs of continuous improvement and cost reduction in place.
We are always keen to involve suppliers in the new product introduction process and seek out new ideas and solutions to technical and commercial challenges. The involvement of suppliers in new design and development opportunities is key to achieve our business goals.
Goodrich is always looking for new suppliers who can deliver lower product costs in a global economy while recognising that some specialist activities are best protected within existing supply chains in both Europe and the US.
