Goodrich Engine Control Systems’ testing and certification facilities enable us to integrate and validate complete engine control systems. This means that we can fully support our customers’ system development and verification programs.

Our systems test facility (STF) is built around a real-time computer system linked to a computer-controlled hydromechanical test rig.  This enables validated engine models to be run in real time under the control of an electronic engine control (EEC), running production software and production standard hydro-mechanical units.  This closed-loop testing reduces risk early in the integration phase, and can also be used to validate the system design and analysis to support certification.

Goodrich performs all unit functional and environmental tests required for certification. Where specific test requirements cannot be achieved in-house, we have established relationships with a range of external test houses offering appropriate capabilities.
