The Goodrich DB-110 generates simultaneous high resolution visible and infrared imagery for high-altitude tactical reconnaissance missions. Originally designed as a derivative of the U-2 SYERS system, the DB-110 has evolved to its third generation design which features three independent optical fields of view. The DB-110 is in service for fighter jet and maritime patrol surveillance missions and its performance on UAVs has also been proven.
Three fields-of-view enable the following missions:
- Long-range standoff
- Medium range oblique and overflight
- Low-altitude direct overflight
Mission planning:
- Pre-planned
- Dynamic, in-air re-tasking
Multiple operational modes:
- Wide area search
- Line search
- Pinpoint
- Multi-aspect/stereo
- Targets of opportunity (TOO)
