When Lockheed Martin needed landing gear for its new multi-role fighter, the F-35 Lightning II (Joint Strike Fighter), they called on Goodrich to design, produce and integrate the system on all three aircraft variants. Goodrich Landing Gear provided complete landing gear systems optimized for the F-35’s various designs – CTOL (conventional takeoff/landing), CV (carrier variant), and STOVL (short takeoff/vertical landing).
