Cessna Aircraft Company awards are just one example. Cessna selected Goodrich to supply SmartProbe™ air data systems and windshield heat controllers for the Cessna Citation Columbus business jet. The selection marks the first application of Goodrich’s SmartProbe™ and windshield heat controller technology for a Cessna aircraft. Goodrich is also providing an advanced fully integrated landing gear system. The weight-efficient system includes main and nose landing gear, wheels, carbon brakes and electronic control and steering systems.
Also consider our activity with Embraer. Our SmartProbe™ air data system (ADS) has been selected once again but this time for the Legacy 450 and Legacy 500 executive jets. The integrated SmartProbe™ system reduces the total number of individual system components, decreases overall weight and significantly improves system reliability, maintainability and performance. The SmartProbe™ ADS is also found on Embraer's 170, 190 and Phenom 300 jets. Also featured on these jets will be our Goodrich crew seats which incorporate improvements in reliability and safety, and meet the most stringent government regulations for emergency landing protection. Goodrich crew seats are also featured on Embraer's Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 business jets.
Goodrich has extended our product offering through its acquisition of TEAC Aerospace Technologies. Now offered are Hard Disk Video Reproducers and DVD Reproducers, which are proven far more dependable than current commercial repackaged DVD units offered. Units are in use around the world today on Embraer and Bombardier jets.
